They have decoded the fml format used in mfme so in theory layouts could be imported into mame and played there instead of in mfme thats if Guitar stops asking dumb fucking questions and Vas Crabb fucks it off again for another 4 years.

Library to decode MFME FML is now published under MIT license and is here

Also has a bonus feature where it can 'write back' a 'dat' file as an FML and have MFME load it.
