Happy New Year to everyone at Dadsfme.

I've not a cold, but have been up to Sunderland to see my autie and uncle, and my great aunt.

Now, Heated blanked on, having hot milk in Bed watching the mags losing.

Tomorrow 40 miles bike ride planned, electric, let the motor take the strain, and do some trainspotting, along with a flask of coffee!

I think, it's the first time ever, I had not been well on Xmas Day. Had a couple of very mild hangovers from Xmas Eve drinks, that have gone by lunchtime, but that's it.

Thankfully no headaches, aches or pains, just a horrible tickly, runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes.

Let's face it, it couldn't be any worse than last year.

Which is why I retire in September, and am off to as far as I can get from society on one of the Shetland Islands.  Or a crofters cottage on the Scotland West Coast.
