I'll admit I don't fully understand the different boards Electrocoin used. EFME emulates the original Z80 MPU board and a later revision using the Z80-compatible Z180 (HD64180), which integrates several peripherals onto the CPU. I looked at the Red, White & Blue 7's ROMs that MFME runs, and MFME lists them as a "Phoenix 2" board using a Motorola MCF5206 ColdFire CPU, so they're well outside what EFME does. Can anyone explain the different generations of Electrocoin boards and CPUs? I gather there's at least a Z80 MPU, a Z180 version, a "Phoenix" (I think 68340-based), and this "Phoenix 2" ColdFire generation, but I'd love the full picture from someone who knows the history.

The board i had in my Flat top Super Red Bar was an original Z80 board with 2 CPUs i managed to source a couple of spares just incase, i have not seen other machines so i don't know what CPUs they used in them its odd to think that Electrocoins ran on the same CPU as my 1st computer the trusty old ZX spectrum
