Title: Help identifying a ROM
Post by: BarXQueen on Aug 02, 2026, 11:34 AM
Geddy uploaded a rom called zzz_unk blv6 which I have got working but have absolutely no idea what it is. Can anyone identify it from the sounds? Should run in latest version of EFME (31)

It has a gamble I believe.  It kind of sounds familiar, but I don't recognise it.

Maybe not a true basic lo-tech.

Just had another try on this, and tried  google + youtube looking for electrocoin    images+ vids, but nothing came up  which plays like this,

maybe it's a concept rom?, or are they not running yet in the emu? if so then we may be able to work out what  it is.

It sounds like an older machine, going by the sounds, maybe later 1980's?

I think we might have a couple of candidates here, no images sadly.

Magic X (1986): A direct companion layout to Magic 7. This game focused heavily on hitting interlocking "X" combinations diagonally across the glass frame.

I'm going for this, it literally seems like it's filling those o's and x's in a grid on every spin :)
