I will update the original release thread with the latest version and list build/version changes here

Released build 26 today (see the EFME - release thread).

Nothing major, just a couple of bug fixes that were affecting Pook's Red Bar layout:

• The buttons couldn't always be clicked easily
• The coin payout sound when a win was added to the bank has been removed

Once you have installed this version it will automatically update to future versions.

New features:

• Auto-update - the app checks the forum for new releases, or Help > Check for Updates. On by default, disable in settings if you don't want it.
• Payout tray - real coin physics with a 3D pile, designer Preview and Clear.
• Desktop Machine mode - chromeless transparent floating cabinet. Ctrl+Shift+D.
• Resume where you left off - "Save game state when finished" restores the machine exactly, including instant punter takeover.
• George play profiles - Best Strategy and Reject Wins, plus stop-after-N-spins.
• PacDrive support - physical lamp outputs with an in-app mapping editor.
• Arcade mode - uncapped grid, duplicate-fill launches, optional per-launch stats panel.
• 20p token play on the ISS3021 boards.
• Secondary windows inherit Always-on-Top.
• Coin brightness and weathering sliders on the payout tray.
• George nudge/hold fixes on various games
• New machine bring-up: Super Bar-X (Brunel). circa 1990.
• Various bug fixes and tweaks

EFME v1.0.30

Fixes

• OSR: capture logging is switched off in public builds, and the pace monitor now reports when the host PC itself cannot keep real time, the cause of choppy multiplayer sound on some machines.
• Cabinet overlay elements no longer exceed the supported z-index range.
• Close Layout now closes the whole club rather than just the station you had selected.
• Bar-X 125's coin acceptor now honours the machine's own inhibit line, traced in the machine program and verified in the emulator, so coins are refused exactly when the real hardware would refuse them (for example at the money ceiling).

Layout designer

• Zoomed-in dragging now pans smoothly over the artwork, with hairline chrome and sprite-size snapping for tidier layouts.
• "Pin to Photo" is now a ticked toggle on the context menu, and pinned sprites stay aligned to the underlying photo.
• Selection handles now stack with the elements they belong to, instead of by insertion order.

Multiplayer / club

• Tab and Shift+Tab now switch the active player station.

Under the hood

• The CLI's port census no longer misreads 16-bit Z180 I/O addresses.
• Profile files no longer restate default settings across every machine, keeping profile data smaller and cleaner.

• Fixed the Magic 7 £25 30p payout issue

• Oxo Super Reels (OSR): corrected the hopper-empty process
• Fixed DIP settings being resolved inconsistently on some cabinets

Machine fixes

• ISS3021 Super Big 7 now pays out from coin tubes instead of a hopper.
• Fixed OSR (Oxo Super Reels) station coin-out sensor polarity, now read correctly per board.

Layout updates and self-healing
As the emulator develops, some layouts get left behind and won't get the benefits of new updates. This feature will fix any layouts you have already downloaded and update them automatically (you can choose not to of course). Just select "Keep in file" when asked and your layout will be updated and you won't be asked again about this update. If you have made your own changes to a layout, probably better to say "not now" and make a backup copy of it first.

• Layout compatibility checking is now on by default, so published layouts pick up corrections automatically.
• Published layout bundles are healed with the latest corrections as soon as they load.
• After a correction is applied, EFME now offers once to keep it permanently in your layout file.

Multiplayer and club machines

• Fixed a bug where resuming a club session could desync the room.
• Fixed scheduled events beyond 25 minutes of play failing to fire on club machines.
• Added an opt-in windowed club engine for improved multiplayer performance.

Interface

• Settings pages now scroll back to the top when you change category.
• Touch panning now works from anywhere on a scroll surface, not just painted areas.
• The ROM setup wizard can now be reached from the welcome screen or by dragging a ROM file onto the window, with clearer error messages when a ROM isn't supported.

Under the hood

• Various scheduling, diagnostics and regression-test reliability improvements.

Arcade

• Arcade picker gained a DX-only filter, transparent launching, and favourite libraries.
• Transparent arcade machines no longer show the scratch badge or close button, and pressing Esc now restores the tile instead of hiding the window.
• Close Arcade can now reach a machine that has stripped its frame.
• The arcade dialog shows the bundle file name, no longer resizes itself, and black-box transparency is fixed.

Desktop Machine (Ctrl+Shift+D)

• Desktop Machine is now resized with the mouse wheel and dragged by clicking the machine itself; the old resize frame and glass edge are gone.
• Fixed a bug where the top band acted as an invisible sizing frame and dragging ran a blocking loop.
• Help text updated to match: Desktop Machine no longer has a grip or an exit button.

Sound

• Added a meter tick sound, and players can now choose which machine sounds they hear.

Fixes

• ISS3001 and ISS3021 meter coils are now wired and carried into their layout bundles.
• Published ISS3021 forum layouts now self-heal their held-bank pair, and winnings are booked from the held-bank ledger instead of a proxy.
• Fixed George holding wins and continuing to spin after a nudge.
• The File menu no longer shows a focus ring at launch.

Windows and interface

• Secondary windows now remember the size the user left them at.

Installer and setup

• Fixed the release process stranding the release tag and public notes.

Under the hood

• Decoded sbx8elac: a DIP mirror outside the 0x84xx range had made the whole ROM read as undecodable.
• Recorded the live deploy of the two ISS3021 £8T bundles.

Great to see such regular upgrades, well done BarX Queen.

  Fixes
 

• Machines whose save file could not be reloaded now restart from a clean boot instead of crashing.


• The emulator no longer runs too fast after a warm reset (the "turbo" symptom).


• Close Layout no longer fails silently, and it now clears club machines properly.


• The club refill key is wired to the right switch.


• A meter no longer misses the second of two identical wins paid back to back.


• The payout float now releases after relaunching a linked (OSR) machine.


• Payout coins land facing in random directions instead of all the same way.


• issA793 is recorded as a Casino cabinet, not Deluxe.

Is it possible for both emulator, to have a list of what slots are available for it, and maybe have some sort of code in each slot name, so we can be sure we don't miss any of them. Its hard to keep track of what's available and i dont wanna miss any. Thanks so much to all involved, its amazing having these to play. Cheers
